3" Fowler A7 Traction Engine 90% complete
A well engineered part built MJ 3" Fowler A7 Traction Engine.
I sold this one a few years ago to a gentleman who moved to France with it. He says he is unlikely to finish it as other projects have taken over, so reluctantly he asked me to sell it for him. It comes with all the parts necessary to complete the engine, so no major expense is required to finish this substantial and well sought after engine.
Bell Boilers Steel Certified boiler, most parts are made ready to assemble, the exceptions being :
- The tender requires finishing, although most of the tender fittings are made
- Winding Drum and fittings need machining
- Differential gears need machining
- Brake drum needs machining and fitting to the final drive gear
- Pump and associated eccentrics need making
- Cleading, boiler bands and all the plumbing need doing
- A decent paint job
Comes with full MJ Engineering 3" Fowler A7 Drawing Set and construction manual.
A constrnction table is included with the engine if required.
